New live CD from Midge Ure: 'A Live Xmas Gift'

A new Midge Ure shop Live CD will be released just in time for Christmas.

'A Live Xmas Gift', as this new CD from Midge Ure will be called is taken from a 1985 Radio broadcast of the show at Wembley Arena, with 4 tracks to fill the single CD from Crawley a month earlier in the tour.

Third Honorary Doctorate for Midge Ure

Midge Ure will be honoured by the University of Paisley at its Ayrshire graduation ceremony on Friday 29 June 2007.
A University of Paisley spokesperson said: "We are delighted to be presenting Midge Ure with an Honorary Doctorate. During his career he has not only made an important contribution to Scottish culture, but also to wider society through his various charity activities, such as Live Aid and Band Aid."

Rockin' Scots on Radio 4

4 May 2007 - Midge Ure will be narrating and interviewing many well known Scottish singers for this 2 part Radio 4 look at the Scottish contribution to pop / rock music.
Contributions are from: The Alex Harvey Band, Jim Kerr, Lulu, and Texas.
Broadcast dates are Saturday May 12th, and Saturday May 19th at 10.30 am.
Radio 4 can be listened to on the world wide internet at http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio4/ , and has a 'listen again' facility for anyone who misses the broadcast.

4 May 2007 - Midge Ure will be presenting an award at the 'Awards for World Music' at the Barbican on Londons South Bank, on Sunday May 27th.
The event will be broadcast live on BBC Radio 3 , and Midge Ure's contribution is expected to be early in the show.

4 May 2007 - Midge Ure will be making an appearance on an Italian TV show called 'Apocalypse', which is broadcast live on RAI UNO on Saturday May19th.
Expect some chat and one song: probably 'Breathe' which still get played on Italian radio ?!?!

1 January 2007 - Midge Ure performed in Leverkusen Germany on Saturday November 4th 2006, a show which was filmed for the WDR show Rockpalast.
This will be broadcast on the German TV channel on January 28th 2007.
