Midge Ure's CD 'Move Me +' available

3 October 2006 - The new CD of Midge Ure 'CD Move Me +' is on sale now.

'Move Me +' is a re-release of Midge Ure's studio CD 'Move Me'.
Disc one of this double CD includes the original tracks from the Move Me album, plus new radio edits and unreleased tracks. Disc 2 features 7 live tracks and a video from the German tour of November 2000, a live acoustic version of Spielberg Sky and 3 acoustic mixes.

CD Duet on sale

2 October 2006 - The CD 'Duet' is out now!

This CD was recorded live during 1998-1999 at 3 UK shows from Midge Ure together with Troy Donockley.
The set was mostly taken from the successful Breathe album and Troy Donockley's influence lends another dimension to classic Ultravox tracks such as Vienna and Lament.

'Personal Heaven' cover

25 September 2006 - The song 'Personal Heaven', which was released on the internet only Midge Ure CD 'Little Orphans', has been covered by the German band X-Perience.
The 'Personal Heaven' cover is a duet with Midge Ure, who re recorded his vocal contribution to this song, will be on the new X-Perience CD 'Lost in Paradise'.
The CD 'Lost in Paradise' will be released on 10 November 2006.
There is also a possibility that 'Personal Heaven' will be issued as a single in the new year.

Release of the CD 'Duet' delayed

5 June 2006 - The release of the CD 'Duet', with live recordings of Midge Ure and Troy Donockley has been delayed due to a fault being discovered on the master.
The album has to be re-mastered and will be going back to the pressing plant soon.
As soon as the album 'Duet' is available we will let you know.

Save The Children Awareness Day

17 May 206 - Midge Ure will be appearing on several UK news media for a Save The Children awareness day on May 30th.
Programmes are in the pipeline, such as BBC Breakfast, ITV's This Morning programme, and Channel 4's Richard and Judy, and some printed media.
The media day follows on Midge Ure's visit to Sierra Leone in West Africa during the week of May 12th - May 22nd, to view first hand the work done by many UK based charitable organisations.

13 March 2006 2006 - Midge will be appearing in a live show based around a popular Belgian TV show called Swingpaleis which is being staged as a live show at the Antwerp Sports Paleis (Belgium) on March 31st and April 1st.

Midge Ure on German Rockpalast

13 March 2006 2006 - Midge Ure and his band will be performing on German TV's flagship live music programme Rockpalast on November 4th 2006.
The show will also feature The Cutting Crew and Level 42.
The closest Midge has come to this show was playing a show called Rockpop with Ultravox, recorded in Dortmund on May 14th 1983 for German TV channel ZDF.
For those who do not know Rockpalast:
Rockpalast has been broadcasting live concerts on the WDR channel since 1974.

Honorary Degree for Midge Ure

1 March 2006 2006 - Midge Ure is being granted an Honorary Degree of a Doctor of Music from Edinburgh University, in their list of Summer 2006 recipients of Degrees.
The Ceremony will take place in Edinburgh on Thursday 21 June at 3 pm.

January 2006 - The Nokia Night Of The Proms (Germany) 2005 CD is available on Sony/BMG and Amazon.de, and features two songs of Midge Ure: Breathe and Vienna, which show the songs in a new light accompanied as they are by a full orchestra and choir.
